At MRG, solving problems is in our DNA. We love a challenge, so give us the best you’ve got! The more difficult the challenge, the more we are able to take off your plate. MRG has the “been there and done that t-shirts” and we apply best practices to common move characteristics and strategize the unique qualities of your project.
Integrity and positive attitudes are what drives our MRG team to execute the project and provide satisfaction beyond customer expectations.
JULIE WALKER. Julie began her relocation management career as a client working for a major oil and gas company back in the late 90s, when monitors were still about 40 pounds. Challenged with merging two previously competitive companies, she set out to make it happen – and she did. Julie loved it much more than crunching numbers for petroleum engineers, and once the project was done, she felt like “Cinderella after the ball” when she had to sit down behind all those spreadsheets again. It was time for a change. After getting some experience under her belt, Julie decided she wanted to deliver a product that was customer-centric instead of project-centric. She founded Move Resource Group and put customers first.
Julie has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Organizers, graduated from the prestigious “Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses” program, and now sits on a Goldman Sachs CEO Mentoring board. MRG is a member of The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, Woodlands Economic Development Partnership, Greater Houston Builders Association, and the Houston Relocation Professionals. MRG also supports various community organizations such as Trees of Life and Candlelighters.
It’s fair to say that Julie has moved just about anything and everything, but her personal favorite was moving physics laboratories into Rice University’s Brockman Hall for Physics. Talk about a challenge! Read more about this project in the Case Studies section of our website.
When Julie is not working, she sneaks off to work on a fixer-upper lake house that she and her husband recently purchased. Her favorite thing to do is traveling to Midland to visit her grandchildren (and daughter and son-in-law).
ABBY GRAY. Abby joined the MRG team in 2012 after several years at the Greater Houston Partnership. At GHP, she implemented and organized member retention programs and events and created and managed the well-known HYPE program (Houston Young Professionals Endeavor). Abby recruited over 500 members and managed 90 events – all while training over 60 volunteers. She also blew away GHP’s goal of generating $135,000 in income, exceeding it within the first two months of the program. Since joining the MRG team, Abby has managed the moves on several complicated projects, including restacks and a move with a company that partners with NASA. That was a really cool project! Abby is a natural leader with a gift for managing and organizing projects, developing lasting relationships with clients, and delivering drop-dead successful projects.
Abby and her husband love to entertain – everything from epic Super Bowl parties to family trips to elegant dinner parties. Abby’s husband is a fantastic cook (just ask her) and she is a savvy party planner. One of their favorite charitable projects is the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, where they both have been on the Transportation Committee for several years.
SUSETTE McSWAIN. The MRG team could not operate without Susette. She is the glue that holds everything together and keeps us all where we need to be. Usually she is in the office, managing administration and project operations behind the scenes, but she also enjoys working with the team onsite during projects. Susette previously worked for Hallmark as a Territory and Installation Manager. She has an extensive background in personnel and operations management.
Susette is a huge basketball fan. She looks quite mild-mannered but is really passionate about the Rockets and is anxiously awaiting a long overdue championship! She and her husband enjoy spending time with their daughter and son-in-law, who live in San Antonio, and their son, who lives in Nacogdoches. Susette is active in HLSR as a Transportation Committee volunteer.
Project Managers and Organizing Team
Supporting our MRG team are our project managers and professional organizers. Many of you know Debbie and Cheryl, both of whom have been with MRG since its inception. They also are part of our residential move management division, Prévu Relocation Concierge Services, and coordinate closely with Prévu’s residential management and concierge service specialists. All in all – we have an amazing team of people at MRG that provide assistance wherever they are needed!
